This is the perfect floor for almost all renovation projects, barn conversions and older family homes where you would like some character. Character grade oak boards also look great in more modern homes where they provide a durable, eco-friendly, warm floor in any room.
Engineered oak flooring is a very good alternative to character grade oak. An engineered oak floor, once laid, is indistinguishable from a solid oak floor, it can be stained, waxed or polished in exactly the same way as a solid oak floor.
